Shipping/Materials Handling Operator

About the role

The Shipping/Materials Handling Operator is responsible for receiving, storing, labeling, and shipping materials in a fast‑paced warehouse environment. The role supports both sales and production teams by ensuring inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment on either the evening or night shift.

Key responsibilities

• Put material into inventory for future orders and record detailed information on inventory forms.
• Enter inventory data into the computer system and verify material availability.
• Print and apply labels, package material for storage or shipment, and ensure safe delivery.
• Maintain organized and tidy raw‑material and inventory stores, including reclaim storage segregation.
• Verify quantities against packing slips and material certifications.
• Complete export paperwork, weigh packages on shipping scales, and fill out carrier documentation.
• Assist with unloading incoming trucks and keep accurate written records for traceability.
• Maintain a clean workplace and ensure tooling and machinery are in good working condition.
• May be required to drive a company vehicle.

• Physical capability to handle material, operate scales, and perform packaging tasks.
