About the role
This position is for a Senior House Officer (SHO) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology joining the HSE Mid West network for the July 2026 rotation. The role forms part of the National Clinical Programme and offers structured clinical experience in a busy obstetric and gynaecological setting.
Key responsibilities
- Provide obstetric and gynaecological care to patients as part of the NCHD rotation.
- Participate in labour and delivery, outpatient clinics and on‑call duties.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and collaborate with senior medical staff.
Required profile
- Active registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) – number must be provided.
- Relevant experience in obstetrics and gynaecology.
- Membership examinations desirable.
- English language proficiency (OET/IELTS) where applicable.
- Availability to start on 13 July 2026 in line with the national rotation schedule.
