About the role
Direct Medics is recruiting a Senior House Officer (SHO) in Oncology for Letterkenny University Hospital. The role begins as a short‑term locum and can transition to a 12‑month fixed‑term HSE contract from January 2027 to January 2028.
Key responsibilities
- Work alongside consultants, registrars and multidisciplinary teams in inpatient and outpatient oncology care.
- Participate in ward rounds, patient assessments, treatment planning and delivery of systemic anti‑cancer therapies.
Required profile
- Eligibility to work in Ireland with active IMC registration (or eligibility).
- Previous hospital experience at SHO level, preferably in Oncology or General Medicine.
Required skills
- Knowledge of cancer management and systemic anti‑cancer therapies.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
