Shop Floor Assistant – Full‑time Retail Role

About the role

The Shop Floor Assistant will ensure that all merchandise is presented to the highest standard while maintaining hygiene and food safety. Working on the shop floor, you will support the store team in delivering a clean, well‑stocked, and welcoming environment for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Merchandise, rotate and face‑off stock in the assigned department.
• Process orders for various departments and ensure accurate stock receipt.
• Maintain store layout, end‑caps and side‑caps in line with the Store Manager’s directions.
• Apply correct labelling and stock rotation procedures.
• Check deliveries against goods‑inward procedures.
• Keep the back‑store tidy, organised and packed away.
• Uphold Centra brand values – proud, energetic, imaginative and community‑based.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organised and flexible.
• Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team.
