Site Manager - Educational Builds

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of educational building projects for a leading residential and commercial developer in Wicklow. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day site operations, coordinating teams and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily site activities, supervising construction crews and subcontractors.
• Monitor and update the project programme, tracking progress against milestones.
• Coordinate design reviews and maintain communication with all stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, building regulations and project specifications.
• Lead site health and safety initiatives, fostering a strong safety culture.
• Control commercial performance, including cost control, procurement and subcontractor packages.
• Facilitate site meetings, resolve issues and keep the project momentum.
• Liaise with third‑party service providers, local authorities and other external parties.
• Provide leadership, delegation, mentoring and performance management to site teams.

Required profile

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Site Manager on construction projects in Ireland.
