Site Manager

About the role

The client is a nationally recognised construction firm delivering projects from large‑scale infrastructure to smaller assignments. They are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring safety, quality, programme adherence and budget control.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the site office, welfare facilities, signage and access according to approved layouts.
• Arrange and verify induction for all sub‑contractors and ensure work only starts after induction.
• Maintain crew lists on Procore for operational, health & safety and environmental purposes.
• Record daily site activity in Procore, including personnel, deliveries, variations, progress updates, photos/videos (OpenSpace), inspections, permits and incident reports.
• Complete daily and site‑set‑up checklists (QF 27, QF 22) and ensure ISO checklist completion.
• Monitor sub‑contractor performance, resolve missing documentation and escalate issues to Operations and Contracts managers.
• Oversee timesheet submission, scaffold and plant inspections, and compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing construction sites and supervising sub‑contractor teams.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety, ISO‑aligned quality and environmental standards.
• Ability to maintain accurate operational, commercial and compliance records.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills for coordination with Contracts and Operations managers.
