Site Supervisor – Major Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to lead on‑site delivery of nationally significant design‑and‑build infrastructure projects across Ireland. You will act as the client’s representative, ensuring that construction activities on metro, aviation, rail, water and highway schemes are safe, efficient and compliant with project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day construction activities, ensuring adherence to design, specifications and standards.
• Monitor contractor performance against safety, quality, environmental and programme targets.
• Review and interpret drawings, method statements and risk assessments (RAMS).
• Record site progress, maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting.
• Identify, escalate and support resolution of risks, issues and non‑conformances.
• Coordinate with contractors, designers and stakeholders to manage interfaces.
• Support inspection, testing and commissioning activities as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising major infrastructure or construction projects (rail, metro, highways, utilities or aviation).
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods and site‑based delivery.
• Experience working in a client, consultant or contractor environment with responsibility for site works.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to support practical solutions.
