Skilled Goldsmith – Luxury Jewellery Craftsmanship

About the role

Weir & Sons, a heritage jewellery house in Dublin, is seeking a passionate Goldsmith to join its workshop. You will create and repair high‑end pieces that reflect the brand’s legacy of elegance and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, craft, and assemble bespoke jewellery using gold and other precious metals.
• Perform precise repairs, alterations, and resizing while maintaining premium quality.
• Collaborate with designers and gemmologists to deliver custom orders.
• Apply traditional and modern techniques such as soldering, forging, engraving, and casting.
• Handle gemstones carefully during setting and finishing.
• Conduct thorough inspections to ensure adherence to Weir & Sons’ standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe workshop environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Goldsmith in fine or luxury jewellery.
• Formal training or certification in goldsmithing or jewellery‑making is highly desirable.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a strong sense of craftsmanship.
• Excellent hand‑eye coordination and fine motor skills.
