About the role

Zinkworks is looking for motivated individuals to join its in‑office Software Developer Apprenticeship in Athlone. The programme combines formal training with hands‑on project work, giving you a solid foundation in modern software engineering, cloud technologies and professional teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all FIT training modules and related homework on schedule.
• Work on programming exercises and real‑world project tasks.
• Collaborate with teammates to deliver project components.
• Participate in daily scrum, planning, review and retrospective ceremonies.
• Seek guidance when needed and act on feedback from mentors and tech leads.
• Maintain a learning journal or reflection log as required.
• Demonstrate professional communication and responsibility within the team.

• Enthusiastic about learning software development.
• Willing to follow a structured training curriculum.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Commitment to completing assignments and attending team ceremonies.
