Software Engineer – Enterprise AI

About the role

As a Software Engineer on the Enterprise AI team, you will help shape General Motors' future by building and scaling high‑impact AI systems. You will be a hands‑on contributor, creating core infrastructure that powers AI/ML workflows across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test cutting‑edge AI infrastructure to optimize machine‑learning applications on GM’s global platforms.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to bring AI solutions into production at scale.
• Implement robust, high‑performance software with a focus on scalability, security, and efficiency.
• Lead technical initiatives for validation, deployment, and monitoring of AI models in real‑world environments.
• Integrate diverse data sources and SaaS platforms via APIs and orchestrate workflows using internal and third‑party tools.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on artificial intelligence.
• Fluency in Python and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modelling.
• Experience with cloud‑based AI/ML platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands‑on experience adapting AI integrations with tools such as Slack, Google Workspace, Moveworks, Glean, Copilot, Workday, or ServiceNow.
