Software Engineer - Frontend Development

About the role

Join Sony Interactive Entertainment’s new Dublin office as a Frontend Software Engineer. You will help power PlayStation’s global commerce platform, delivering responsive and accessible web experiences that millions of players use to discover, purchase, and engage with digital content.

Key responsibilities

• Build responsive, accessible, and high‑performance user interfaces for PlayStation commerce using modern frameworks such as React.
• Implement real‑time personalization features that adapt to player behavior.
• Collaborate closely with designers, UX researchers, and backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless end‑to‑end functionality.
• Champion frontend quality through testing, observability, and continuous improvement of UI architecture and developer experience.

Required profile

• 2+ years of frontend development experience building customer‑facing web applications.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with React.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, browser performance optimization, and accessibility standards.
• Experience integrating with backend APIs and working within design‑system‑driven workflows.
• Experience building, testing, and deploying mobile applications.
• Strong attention to detail, especially regarding usability, responsiveness, and visual polish.
