Software Engineer – Go

About the role

Paddle is looking for a Software Engineer specialized in Go to join its high‑traffic, event‑driven payment platform. You will work on a globally‑used, financially‑critical system that processes hundreds of millions of dollars each month, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, high‑performance services.

Key responsibilities

• Write and maintain high‑quality Go code across existing and new services.
• Design, implement, and roll out features from concept through production.
• Continuously improve system reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Own the full lifecycle of your code, including deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
• Collaborate with engineers, product designers, data analysts, security, finance, and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Go (interview will be Go‑based).
• Proactive attitude toward improving code and team processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate edge cases.
• Pride in building robust, production‑grade software.
• Intellectual curiosity about payments, finance, and technology.

Required skills

• Go programming language.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.
• Experience with event‑driven architectures.
