Software Engineer – Python & AI

About the role

Join Acuity’s high‑performing team to design and build scalable, cloud‑native platforms that leverage AI for real‑world impact. You will work in cross‑functional Agile squads, developing modern Python services and integrating intelligent features.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable software and REST APIs using Python (FastAPI, Flask, OOP, Typing, Async, Pydantic).
• Support deployment and operation of containerised solutions following cloud‑native principles.
• Integrate AI capabilities into applications for automation and data intelligence.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions) and ensure secure authentication (OpenID/OAuth2) and container vulnerability scanning.
• Collaborate in Scrum/Kanban environments, participate in code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions.
• Write unit, integration, and performance tests with PyTest using TDD/BDD practices.
• Work closely with product, cloud architecture, and data‑science teams to deliver business outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience building REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git version control and Agile development practices.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and software testing automation.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
