Solution Support Engineer – Business Technology Platform

About the role

As a Solution Support Engineer you will troubleshoot and resolve customer issues across multiple channels, including cases, Expert Chat and Schedule an Expert. You will work within SAP’s Public Cloud ERP environment, helping customers adopt a cloud mindset while building expertise in APIs, debugging, configuration and research methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and resolve customer incidents using knowledge databases, software customising entries and hardware parameters.
• Report errors and propose resolutions to development support.
• Provide consultation on procedural issues and queries.
• Deliver mission‑critical support on scheduled weekend and evening shifts.
• Share knowledge and create content for the technical knowledge database.
• Drive the end‑to‑end engineer workflow (Pulse, Swarming, KCS, etc.).
• Participate actively in the SAP community as a trusted advisor.

Required profile

• Previous internship or related work experience (advantageous).
• Experience with Public Cloud ERP, databases or operating systems (desirable).
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, Engineering, Science or related discipline.
• Strong troubleshooting ability, root‑cause analysis and creative problem solving.
• Early‑adopter/cloud mindset with flexibility to work in a changing environment.
• Excellent collaboration, customer focus and English communication skills.
• Experience with AI technologies such as context engineering, AI output validation and Agentic AI workflows.
• Willingness to work shift/weekend schedules as required.
