Staff CPU Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Staff CPU Architect to lead the architectural and micro‑architectural definition of next‑generation out‑of‑order (OOO) superscalar CPU cores for System‑on‑Chip (SoC) designs. This senior technical role focuses on delivering high‑performance, power‑efficient, and area‑optimized CPU solutions while collaborating across multiple architecture and design teams.

Key responsibilities

• Author detailed CPU core specifications and conduct design reviews.
• Collaborate with accelerator, SoC, and software teams to optimise overall system performance.
• Model workloads using simulators to evaluate power, performance, and trade‑offs.
• Work closely with design teams on implementation, verification, and power analysis.
• Research emerging requirements and define future‑generation features.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience leading OOO superscalar CPU architectural efforts.
• Proven track record of delivering successful CPU designs.
• Strong understanding of CPU micro‑architecture, memory hierarchy, and multi‑core coherency.
• Deep knowledge of SoC integration, including accelerators and memory subsystems.
• Experience with advanced functional and performance simulation tools.
