Staff Nurse – Endoscopy

About the role

The Stephen Doyle Endoscopy Department at Beaumont Hospital is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join a highly specialised interventional unit. You will deliver patient‑centred care from admission to discharge, supporting a multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care with a focus on quality, respect and compassion.
• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate direct patient care under senior supervision.
• Support the Charge Nurse/Senior Sister in monitoring safety and quality of care.
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team and service users to ensure coordinated care.
• Develop and maintain endoscopy skills to assist clinicians safely.
• Mentor and supervise learners, promoting a positive service culture.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards and complete mandatory training and appraisal requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified nursing staff able to work full‑time (37.5 hours per week).
• Commitment to patient‑centred, clinically effective service delivery.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior nurses, clinicians and the wider team.
• Willingness to develop specialised endoscopy competencies.
• Proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and feedback incorporation.
