Staff Nurse – Intellectual Disability (Offaly)

About the role

The Muiriosa Foundation is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join its residential services in Offaly. You will work with adults who have physical and/or intellectual disabilities, including autism, supporting them to live independently and participate fully in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and health monitoring for residents in both individual and group settings.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and promote personal wellbeing.
• Support community inclusion initiatives and encourage independent living skills.
• Collaborate with social care workers and support staff to deliver high‑quality residential care.
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Registered Staff Nurse with experience or interest in intellectual disability or autism care.
• Willingness to work flexible shift patterns, including day, evening and overnight duties.
• Ability to work in residential settings across locations such as Tullamore, Ballinagar, Mountbolus and Birr.
