Staff Nurse – Nursing Home

About the role

Ashbury Nursing Home in Blackrock, South Dublin, is seeking caring and compassionate Staff Nurses to join its multidisciplinary team. You will provide person‑centred nursing care to residents in a supportive, community‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day nursing care that meets the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of residents.
• Assess individual care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate personalised care plans.
• Administer medications in line with doctors' prescriptions and NMBI/HIQA guidelines.
• Ensure safe custody and administration of controlled drugs according to legal and procedural requirements.
• Collaborate with all disciplines involved in resident care, integrating nursing input with broader care teams.

Required profile

• Registered on the NMBI Live Register (General Division) – not a Decision Letter holder.
• Qualified nursing degree from a recognised third‑level institution.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland and ability to commute to the nursing home.
• Experience in a nursing home within the Irish healthcare system is desirable but not essential.
• Interest or experience in gerontology is an advantage.
