Staff Nurse – Ward 4A

About the role

The position is for a Staff Nurse on Ward 4A at Raigmore Hospital. The ward cares for patients who are no longer acutely unwell and are awaiting discharge to home or a long‑term care facility. The role focuses on holistic, enabling care and encourages patient engagement in activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, individualized nursing care to elderly and occasional younger patients.
• Support patients in activities that promote stimulation and engagement.
• Collaborate with the Senior Charge Nurse, Clinical Nurse Manager and the education team.
• Assist with discharge planning and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to NHS policies.
