Supervising Pharmacist

About the role

We are seeking a Supervising Pharmacist to lead the Allcare Hughes Pharmacy team in Clane. This permanent position works 36‑40 hours per week, covering opening hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday‑Saturday.

Key responsibilities

• Observe all statutory regulations under the Pharmacy Act 2007 and maintain professional standards.
• Participate in health‑promotion programmes and deliver pharmaceutical care.
• Implement Allcare Pharmacy policies, SOPs and ensure accurate stock control, receipt, and documentation.
• Secure pharmacy stock, property, keys and ensure safety of staff and customers alongside the Pharmacy Manager.
• Apply Health and Safety at Work Act requirements and maintain confidentiality of business information.
• Manage Department of Health schemes (DPS, LTI, GMS), ensuring timely submission and reconciliation.
• Support retail standards, category management, merchandising and stock control.
• Stay current with legislative changes and PSI practice guidance.

Required profile

• Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland with at least 3 years post‑registration experience.
• 1‑2 years experience as a Supervising Pharmacist is highly advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks accurately in a busy environment.
• Proactive, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
