Supervising Pharmacist – Superintendent Role

About the role

PharmaConex is seeking an experienced Supervising Pharmacist to lead a well‑established independent pharmacy group in the east of Galway City. This senior position combines traditional supervising duties with superintendent oversight, offering a unique leadership opportunity within community pharmacy.

Key responsibilities

• Roster pharmacists and technicians, recruiting qualified staff as needed.
• Supervise daily pharmacy operations in line with PSI regulations and Irish pharmacy legislation.
• Act as a professional reference for dispensary teams across the group, providing guidance and support.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audits and patient‑safety initiatives.
• Oversee dispensary stock, purchasing and commercial performance.
• Engage with PSI and IPU as required.
• Lead all training initiatives across the group.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with patients and the local community.

Required profile

• Fully registered with the PSI.
• Minimum five years of supervising experience in Irish community pharmacies.
• Multi‑site or group pharmacy experience desirable.
• Proven leadership and communication abilities.
• Strong organisational and operational skills.
