Supplier Quality Engineer II

About the role

Medtronic is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer II to join its Post Market Supplier Quality team. In this role you will ensure that suppliers deliver high‑quality parts, materials, and services, supporting Medtronic’s commitment to reliable medical devices.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and resolve supplier‑related issues promptly.
• Drive corrective and preventative actions based on incoming inspection feedback, internal quality metrics, and customer complaints.
• Coordinate change control processes, reviewing and approving changes to meet performance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review test plans and qualification/validation reports for supplier‑initiated changes and special processes.
• Provide technical assistance to suppliers during qualification and validation testing, ensuring issue resolution.
• Manage supplier‑initiated changes to maintain part compliance and supply continuity.
• Build collaborative relationships with suppliers to address non‑conformances, conduct root‑cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Support supplier visits or audits and create statistical metrics to track vendor performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of engineering or quality experience in the medical device industry or a related field.
• Strong understanding of supplier quality processes, change control, and validation testing.

Required skills

• Experience with supplier quality management and corrective action implementation.
• Knowledge of test plan development, qualification, and validation activities.
• Ability to perform statistical analysis and generate supplier performance metrics.
