Supply Chain Lead – Director Level

About the role

We are seeking a Supply Chain Lead at Director level to head the supply chain organisation at our Ballydine site, a small‑molecule commercialisation hub. The role will partner with manufacturing, quality, procurement, logistics, planning and technical functions to ensure reliable, compliant and efficient supply of both current and pipeline products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supply chain functions including capacity planning, logistics, warehouse operations, procurement interfaces and materials management.
• Provide leadership, coaching and strategic direction to build capability and bench strength across the site supply chain team.
• Contribute to site strategy and long‑term business planning as a member of the site leadership team.
• Drive supply chain excellence for inline products using data to improve key performance indicators.
• Lead readiness for pipeline products, covering new product introductions, technical transfers, validation supply needs and launch planning.
• Partner with technical, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, planning and value‑chain teams to define clear supply plans and inventory policies.
• Own capacity planning, supply risk management and business continuity processes aligned with division models and commercial commitments.
• Provide financial stewardship for annual operating budgets and cost optimisation.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a supply chain or logistics environment, preferably within pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to align supply chain activities to business objectives.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work across technical, quality, regulatory and commercial teams.
• Data‑driven mindset focused on continuous improvement of supply performance.
• Capability to manage complex projects related to new product introductions and capacity expansions.
