Supply Chain Planner

About the role

As a Supply Chain Planner you will be responsible for coordinating the flow of goods from a network of global suppliers to manufacturing sites, ensuring inventory targets are met while controlling freight spend. You will work closely with internal teams, external freight forwarders and customs brokers to keep the supply chain efficient and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage supply from multiple global suppliers to manufacturing locations, maintaining target inventory levels.
• Manage international freight movements across ocean, air, courier and expedited modes, optimizing an annual freight spend of approximately $4 million.
• Ensure full compliance with global freight regulations, export/import requirements and customs documentation.
• Oversee performance of suppliers, OEMs, partner freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Drive strategic initiatives to reduce supply chain costs, streamline processes, improve supplier reliability and enhance planning accuracy.
• Place orders and establish reliable supply routes for new market opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in supply planning, global logistics or international supply operations.
• Strong understanding of global freight compliance, customs regulations and international trade documentation.
• Experience managing or influencing a freight budget of around $4 million per year.
• High level of personal integrity and business ethics.

Required skills

• Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Sheets.
• Experience using ERP/planning systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong communication skills for presenting insights to management.
