Support Pharmacist – Community Pharmacy

About the role

We are looking for a Support Pharmacist to join our McCauley New Ross Pharmacy team. The role is full‑time (40 hours) and works within the store’s opening hours, Monday to Saturday. You will work alongside a Supervising Pharmacist, a Relief Pharmacist, technicians and healthcare advisors to deliver professional pharmacy services.

Key responsibilities

• Observe statutory regulations under the Pharmacy Act 2007 and ensure proper professional standards.
• Participate in health‑promotion programmes and pharmaceutical care initiatives.
• Maintain accurate stock control, receipt, documentation and security of all pharmacy goods.
• Implement Allcare Pharmacy policies, SOPs and Department of Health scheme procedures (DPS, LTI, GMS).
• Support the pharmacy manager in retail standards, category management, merchandising and stock control.
• Stay up‑to‑date with legislation and PSI practice guidance.

Required profile

• Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
• 1–2 years experience as a Support or Relief Pharmacist (advantageous).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
