System Engineer - DeltaV Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an experienced System Engineer to support and maintain Emerson DeltaV infrastructure in GMP‑regulated life‑science and biopharmaceutical manufacturing sites. The role ensures reliable, secure, and compliant operation of automation systems across our facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain DeltaV servers, HMIs, workstations and overall OT infrastructure.
• Install, configure, commission and perform lifecycle maintenance of DeltaV hardware.
• Manage virtualization platforms (Hyper‑V, VMware, HCI, VRTX) and guarantee system availability.
• Execute system administration tasks: user access, patching, antivirus, backup & recovery, and hardening.
• Troubleshoot hardware, network and communication issues in OT environments.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, preventive maintenance and operational activities.
• Configure and maintain industrial protocols such as OPC, Modbus, Ethernet and Foundation Fieldbus.
• Collaborate with Automation, CSV, QA and Operations teams during projects.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GAMP5 and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, validation records and infrastructure reports.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Emerson DeltaV infrastructure and hardware support.
• Background in OT infrastructure within regulated manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with virtualization technologies (Hyper‑V, VMware, HCI, VRTX).
• Knowledge of Windows Server administration and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Guardian, AMS Device Manager, SHM, DVBAR and backup systems.
• Understanding of industrial networking, switches, firewalls and communication protocols.
