Tax Director / Senior Manager

About the role

RBK is seeking a senior‑level Tax Director / Senior Manager to lead the establishment of a new tax team in Castlebar. The role will be pivotal in expanding RBK’s tax service offering across the West of Ireland, working closely with the Athlone Tax Team and the Head of Tax.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility and leadership for building a dedicated tax team in Castlebar on a commercial basis.
• Ensure a high level of service and added value for clients, reporting to the Athlone Tax Team/Head of Tax.
• Develop and manage key client relationships, supporting both corporate and private clients.
• Collaborate with existing tax partners to deliver compliance, consultancy and advisory services across corporate restructures, M&A, succession planning, investment, and wealth management.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior tax professional (Director or Senior Manager level).
• Strong leadership and team‑building capabilities.
• Ability to manage and grow client relationships in a commercial environment.
• Flexibility to tailor the role to personal expertise, whether in compliance, consultancy or a specialist tax niche.
