Tax Lead – R&D (Ireland)

About the role

You will lead the development and operations of a new R&D tax entity in Ireland for a UK‑based firm expanding into the market. The position starts with remote working and will evolve as the Irish operation grows, with support from multiple functions in the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and manage the Irish R&D tax practice, ensuring compliance with local legislation.
• Drive business development activities, leveraging an existing client book.
• Provide strategic leadership across Ireland and contribute to the senior leadership team.
• Collaborate with UK functions to align processes and deliver integrated services.
• Shape the future growth areas and office location decisions for the Irish entity.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an R&D tax specialist with deep knowledge of Irish tax regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop new business and manage client relationships.
• Leadership qualities with a vision for building a new market presence.
• Willingness to work remotely initially and transition to an office setting as needed.
