Tax Lead – R&D

About the role

We are partnering with a leading UK firm that is expanding into Ireland. As the first hire for the Irish entity, you will lead the development and operational set‑up of the business, working closely with support functions based in the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the establishment and day‑to‑day operations of the new Irish entity.
• Drive business development activities, leveraging an existing book of business and client pipeline.
• Provide expert R&D tax advice specific to Irish legislation and regulations.
• Collaborate with UK teams to ensure alignment of processes, compliance, and service delivery.
• Prepare to take on a senior leadership team (SLT) role as the business grows.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as an R&D tax specialist with deep knowledge of Irish tax law.
• Proven ability to develop new business and manage client relationships.
• Leadership qualities with a vision to build and scale a new operation.

Required skills

• R&D tax expertise (Irish jurisdiction).
