Tax Manager - Compliance

About the role
We are seeking a Tax Manager (Compliance) to join a leading Irish accountancy and advisory firm. The role will deliver high‑quality corporate tax compliance services to a diverse portfolio of domestic and international clients, with opportunities for career progression across our Cork, Galway and Dublin offices.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of corporate tax compliance engagements for domestic and international clients, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
- Review and quality‑check compliance deliverables prepared by junior staff.
- Act as the primary client contact on compliance matters, advising on tax law changes and handling Revenue correspondence.
- Conduct technical research on evolving tax developments and apply them to client engagements.
- Collaborate with cross‑departmental teams to provide coordinated service.
- Mentor and develop junior team members through coaching and performance appraisals.
- Support process improvement initiatives, including the use of tax technology.
- Assist with working‑capital management, WIP, billing and collections.
- Potentially contribute to corporate tax consulting projects for both domestic and international clients.
Required profile
- CTA qualification (accounting qualification advantageous but not essential).
- 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience in tax compliance, preferably within a professional services environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of Irish and international corporate tax legislation.
- Excellent communication, organisational and project‑management abilities.
- Proven client‑relationship management skills and a collaborative, solutions‑focused attitude.
- Interest in process improvement and tax technology.
