Tax Manager

About the role
This permanent position is for a Tax Manager reporting directly to the Tax Partner of a well‑established medium‑sized accounting and tax advisory firm. The role combines tax advisory and compliance work across a diverse client base and includes managing a small team of junior staff.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of SME clients, delivering both compliance and consultancy projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing clients while expanding an external network.
- Assist in the management of the tax group, including work‑in‑progress tracking, billing, and fee collection.
- Collaborate with Partners, Directors and Managers on tax consultancy engagements.
- Liaise with other departments to identify tax planning opportunities for current clients.
Required profile
- Qualified Tax Professional and/or qualified accountant.
- Strong working knowledge of all tax heads.
- Prior managerial experience at assistant manager or manager level.
- Proven ability to manage and develop junior staff members.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
