Technical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Technical Engineer to support the installation, compliance and operational improvement of our LPG asset base. Working closely with project managers, sales teams, contractors and customers, you will ensure technical excellence, regulatory compliance and safe installation practices across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to project management on installation projects and respond to technical queries from sales, contractors and customers.
• Develop risk assessments, method statements and customer‑specific installation drawings.
• Manage field assets including LPG storage vessels, distribution networks and related equipment.
• Lead compliance and upgrade projects, driving continuous improvement through research and new technologies.
• Oversee contractor induction, approval, training and performance assessment.
• Create and maintain operating procedures, technical documentation and safety literature.
• Deliver gas safety training to staff and contractors.

Required profile

• Qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in a technical, installation or compliance environment, preferably within energy, gas or utilities.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and understanding of risk assessments and industry standards.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
