Technical Sales Account Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Account Manager to promote and sell medical decontamination equipment and solutions to hospitals and healthcare facilities across Dublin and the West of Ireland. The role blends technical expertise with commercial acumen, requiring the ability to explain complex medical systems to clinicians, engineers, and procurement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and engage hospitals and healthcare organisations to generate new business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, CSSD/endoscopy teams, infection‑prevention staff, biomedical engineers, estates/engineering teams and procurement stakeholders.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs, expanding market presence in the assigned territory.
• Apply engineering knowledge to explain product design, function and clinical benefits, providing first‑line technical advice.
• Deliver engaging presentations, product demonstrations and workflow‑based solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Support tender submissions and navigate HSE and private procurement processes.
• Assist with installations and deliver training to clinical and technical teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical and company sales standards.

Required profile

• Proven track record in medical device, hospital equipment or capital equipment sales.
• Experience in decontamination, endoscopy, sterile services or biomedical engineering is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of decontamination workflows and procurement pathways within the HSE and private healthcare sectors.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and technical presentation abilities.
• Consultative, solution‑driven mindset; self‑motivated and target‑focused.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to work field‑based across Dublin and the West of Ireland.
