Technical Trainer

About the role

Activ8 Solar Energies is seeking a Technical Trainer to develop and deliver training programmes for solar PV installation teams in the Munster region. You will play a key part in empowering our installers with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver safe, high‑quality renewable energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, maintain and continuously improve comprehensive training curricula covering theory and practical aspects of Solar PV installation.
• Deliver hands‑on sessions on installation techniques, equipment handling and safety protocols.
• Assess and certify trainees, ensuring competence meets industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and equipment suppliers to organise specialised training.
• Incorporate new technologies, regulatory updates and industry trends into training material.
• Introduce innovative training methods to boost learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical training and curriculum development.
• Strong technical background in electrical or roofing trades.
• Trade qualifications are desirable.
• Hands‑on experience with solar PV system installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Adaptable mindset with a commitment to continuous learning.
