Technical Writer – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term (Entry Level)

About the role

Join a leading smart‑building company’s Technical Writing team in Cork on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will create and maintain product documentation for a business unit that supports program releases, collaborating with engineers, developers, product managers and marketers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Write and edit technical content for software and hardware releases.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to gather accurate information.
• Produce technical illustrations and drawings as needed.
• Provide DocOps support, including publishing and content management.

Required profile

• 0‑2 years of writing experience.
• Degree in English, Journalism, Technical Communications, Engineering, Multimedia or a related field.
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong interest in technology and problem‑solving.

Required skills

• DITA XML authoring.
• Adobe InDesign.
• Adobe FrameMaker.
• MadCap Flare.
