Transport Manager

About the role

The Ryder Cup Europe team is seeking a Transport Manager to lead VIP and stakeholder transport for the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor. This fixed‑term role combines strategic planning with hands‑on delivery of complex logistics for sponsors, officials, invited guests and VVIPs.

Key responsibilities

• Define transport requirements and design end‑to‑end solutions for sponsors, government officials and VIPs across all event milestones.
• Map and manage arrival and departure processes, covering multiple transport modes, access, parking, accreditation and vehicle movements.
• Set up and run transportation dispatch operations at stakeholder hotels and the on‑site VIP bus terminal.
• Coordinate player transport, police escorts, sponsor fleet operations and workforce hire‑car programmes.
• Engage with local residents, businesses and community groups to communicate transport plans and mitigate impact.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex transport or logistics operations end‑to‑end.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, suppliers and transport providers.
• Experience developing clear operational policies and communicating them effectively.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders, high‑profile guests and external suppliers.
• Demonstrated delivery of transport operations for major sporting or large‑scale events (essential).
