Undergraduate Laboratory Coordinator

About the role
The Undergraduate Laboratory Coordinator will support the School of Biotechnology by coordinating and delivering a range of undergraduate laboratory modules. This part‑time (0.8 FTE) position is a 5‑year fixed‑term contract, reporting to the Head of School.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, organise and deliver laboratory sessions for undergraduate courses.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, consumables and safety standards.
- Provide administrative support for teaching and learning activities, including scheduling and record‑keeping.
- Collaborate with academic staff to develop and update laboratory curricula.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and health & safety regulations.
Required profile
- Relevant academic qualification (e.g., BSc/MSc) in biotechnology, biology, chemistry or a related field.
- Experience in managing university‑level laboratory teaching.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
