Utilities Engineer

About the role

Arcadis is looking for a Utilities Engineer to support the manufacturing operations of a pharmaceutical client in Ringaskiddy. The role focuses on the reliability, compliance and performance of critical utility systems that enable GMP manufacturing continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for critical utility systems serving production.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and continuously improve utility equipment and infrastructure.
• Ensure all maintenance activities meet GMP requirements and site procedures.
• Keep accurate engineering and maintenance records in line with quality and compliance standards.
• Support investigations, deviations, CAPAs and change controls related to utility systems.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Engineering and Quality teams to keep utilities compliant and available.
• Review documentation and technical reports for inspections and audits.
• Assist with planned and preventative maintenance and reliability initiatives.
• Perform all work safely and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device or other highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting critical utility systems within a GMP setting.
• Strong understanding of maintenance practices, equipment reliability and quality documentation.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
