Van Driver & Yard Operative

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Van Driver / Yard Operative to join our team in Navan. The role involves delivering products to customers, handling goods safely in our yard and supporting daily warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers using a company van, completing multi‑drop and branch‑to‑branch runs.
• Perform daily vehicle and load checks and report any incidents.
• Plan delivery schedules and routes in collaboration with the Branch Manager.
• Pick, wrap and dispatch sales orders, completing all required warehouse paperwork.
• Load and unload lorries safely, record and put away stock, and move or stack materials using correct manual‑handling techniques.
• Ensure finished product packs are sealed correctly and labels are positioned properly.
• Obtain and return signed proof of delivery (POD) to the office on time.
• Maintain health and safety standards in line with company policy.

Required profile

• Full clean Category C driving licence.
• Good knowledge of local road networks.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time‑keeping and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Highly motivated, able to meet set deadlines.
