Vehicle Purchasing Assistant

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Vehicle Purchasing Assistant to join our Customer Operations team. In this role you will support the end‑to‑end vehicle procurement process and ensure new vehicle deliveries are managed efficiently and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee order management from placement through to end‑user delivery, adhering to procedures, processes and SLAs.
• Negotiate and monitor discounts to maximise volume potential.
• Coordinate vehicle fit‑out requirements with third‑party suppliers.
• Monitor delivery dates, manage registrations and ensure timelines meet customer expectations.
• Collaborate with customers, drivers and suppliers to guarantee timely deliveries.
• Handle return vehicle logistics in conjunction with new deliveries.
• Maintain relationships with manufacturers and suppliers, attending meetings and events.
• Manage annual vehicle supply tendering process and produce regular performance reports.
• Work closely with internal teams to meet business and customer objectives.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Energetic self‑starter with excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Proven project‑management, decision‑making and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet SLAs and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Customer‑centric mindset with empathy.
• Previous motor‑trade experience is desirable but not mandatory.
