Vehicle Purchasing Assistant

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join our Customer Operations team. The Vehicle Purchasing Assistant will support the end‑to‑end vehicle procurement process and manage the administration of new vehicle deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee order management from placement through to end‑user delivery, adhering to procedures, processes and SLAs.
• Negotiate and monitor discounts to maximise potential volume.
• Coordinate vehicle fit‑out requirements with third‑party suppliers.
• Monitor delivery dates and ensure timelines and customer expectations are met.
• Manage new vehicle registrations according to arrival dates, contract end dates and customer needs.
• Collaborate with customers, drivers and suppliers to ensure efficient delivery.
• Coordinate return vehicles in conjunction with new deliveries.
• Maintain relationships with manufacturers and suppliers, attending meetings/events as needed.
• Systematically manage reporting and automated communication for all tasks.
• Plan, implement and manage the annual vehicle supply tendering process.
• Report performance to management and work closely with internal teams to meet business and customer objectives.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Energetic self‑starter with excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Proven project‑management, decision‑making and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet SLAs and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Customer‑centric mindset with empathy.
• Previous motor‑trade experience is desirable but not essential.
