AI Designer

About the role

We are seeking an AI Designer to join a fully remote, multiplayer game development team. You will create intelligent NPC behaviours and engaging enemy encounters for a fast‑paced action title, collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and production staff.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement enemy AI and NPC behaviour trees for a high‑mobility multiplayer game.
• Produce detailed design specifications, gameplay documentation, and technical implementation guidelines.
• Work with AI designers, gameplay engineers, and technical teams on scripting and AI system integration.
• Plan tasks, define dependencies, and support efficient project execution with production teams.
• Analyse gameplay data, heatmaps, and player feedback to drive AI and gameplay improvements.
• Prototype, pitch, and iterate innovative AI concepts that enhance player engagement and balance.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional experience in game design, AI design, or AI gameplay development for multiplayer games.
• Strong passion for multiplayer gaming and player‑centric experiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for distributed team collaboration.
• Formal education or background in game design, computer science, programming, or a related field.

Required skills

• Unreal Engine (or equivalent AAA game engine).
• Blueprint scripting.
• AI behavior trees.
• Gameplay systems implementation.
