Air Freight Forwarder

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Air Freight Forwarder to join our Dublin operations team. You will manage export and import air shipments, keep clients informed on the status of their goods, and ensure all transport and clearance documents are accurate and timely.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day‑to‑day air cargo business cases, from customs warehouse admission to aircraft dispatch.
• Organise export customs clearance, loading, and dispatch of shipments.
• Take bookings, coordinate shipments, troubleshoot issues and provide updates on service disruptions.
• Prepare cost and revenue estimates, maintain credit control policy and maximise profit.
• Make rate offers to customers and partners where applicable.
• Communicate shipment status to clients and resolve potential delays.
• Interact with cargo‑partner network, agents, carriers and customs authorities.
• Strengthen relationships with existing house accounts and understand customer business strategies.

Required profile

• Preferably 2+ years of experience in air freight export or import.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• High competency in handling air cargo shipments.
• Good knowledge of customs procedures.

Required skills

• Experience with CARGO Wise software.
• Experience with Thyme software.
• Knowledge of Good Distribution Practice.
