Buying & Planning Coordinator

About the role

The Buying & Planning Coordinator will support Uniphar Medtech's supply chain function by delivering cost‑effective procurement and maintaining optimal inventory levels. Based in the Northern Cross office in Finglas, the role works closely with operations, customer service, sales, and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Support procurement activities to ensure cost‑effective purchasing and high service levels.
• Analyse market trends, inventory data and demand forecasts to maintain optimal stock.
• Monitor inventory availability, identify supply risks and proactively escalate issues.
• Manage stock holdings, including slow‑moving items and product expiry dates.
• Create, issue and maintain purchase orders for inventory and non‑inventory items.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate supplier and product master data in company systems.
• Produce regular reports and analysis to support inventory, procurement and operational performance.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders on recalls, product complaints and vendor communications.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory planning or a related role.
• Experience in demand planning, forecasting and inventory management; healthcare experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical abilities and proactive problem‑solving.
• Self‑motivated, organised and adaptable.
• Relevant third‑level qualification desirable but not essential.
