Community & Volunteer Coordinator

About the role

We are partnering with a leading national charity to find a passionate Community & Volunteer Coordinator. In this hybrid role based in Dublin, you will recruit, onboard, engage and support volunteers across Ireland, helping to build a vibrant, nationwide volunteer community.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, onboard and train new volunteers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community groups, volunteer organisations and external partners.
• Coordinate volunteer involvement in events, projects and community initiatives nationwide.
• Support the design and implementation of volunteer and community‑engagement strategies.
• Manage volunteer communications, recognition programmes and development pathways.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records, compliance processes and reporting, including Garda Vetting.
• Utilise Salesforce and other systems to track volunteer data and generate reports.
• Collaborate with multiple internal departments to align volunteer programmes with organisational objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, membership organisations, events or stakeholder management.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication abilities.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proactive, energetic and solutions‑focused mindset.
• Full clean driving licence, own vehicle and willingness to travel regularly across Ireland, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Salesforce (or similar CRM) proficiency.
