Controls Technician 3 – Backend Day Shift

About the role

Dexcom is seeking a Controls Technician 3 to join the Backend Day Shift team. The role supports equipment engineers in the improvement, installation, validation, and transfer of custom automated equipment used for scaling up manufacturing of Dexcom products.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the design, installation, and validation of automated manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional deployment teams and external suppliers to meet equipment specifications and timelines.
• Interpret schematics, diagrams, and written instructions to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting.
• Test and analyze electro‑mechanical assemblies using specialized test equipment.
• Operate, test, and maintain robotic equipment and vision systems.
• Record test results, perform fault isolation, and prepare detailed documentation.

Required profile

• Experience working with automated manufacturing equipment in a production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical skills for testing and fault isolation.
• Effective communication and teamwork with engineering, suppliers, and cross‑functional groups.

What we offer

• 12‑hour day shifts (Friday‑Sunday and alternate Thursdays) on a 4‑on/3‑off – 3‑on/4‑off schedule.
• 15% shift premium for Saturday and Sunday work.
