Finance Manager – Payments & Financial Control

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on and technically strong Finance Manager to join our Dublin‑based team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role is high‑visibility within a regulated payment institution, covering financial reporting, budgeting, safeguarding, regulatory reporting and internal‑control enhancement.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full month‑end and year‑end close process and prepare accurate monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis.
• Maintain balance‑sheet control, including safeguarding, settlement, accruals, intercompany and multi‑currency reconciliations.
• Ensure reconciliations are documented, reviewed and audit‑ready, and support preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end accounts and finance function across all finance cycles, ensuring complete revenue capture and prompt resolution of discrepancies.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity and working‑capital requirements.
• Support and progressively own the annual budgeting process, prepare forecasts and provide financial analysis to senior management.
• Oversee safeguarding reconciliations, settlement monitoring and manage regulatory reporting submissions to the Central Bank of Ireland.
• Develop, maintain and improve finance policies, procedures and internal controls across payroll, procurement, accounting, settlements and reporting cycles.
• Lead policy development, system improvement initiatives and finance transformation projects to enhance efficiency and scalability.
