Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will report directly to the senior leadership team and take full ownership of day‑to‑day financial operations across multiple entities. This hands‑on, high‑impact position is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast‑growing, regulated environment and can combine strong technical accounting expertise with strategic insight.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Oversee outsourced finance providers and ensure robust financial controls and compliance frameworks.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver meaningful financial insights for decision‑making.
• Prepare board‑level reporting, KPI analysis and support key commercial initiatives.
• Drive process and systems improvements to enable efficient scaling of the business.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance professional in a scaling or high‑growth environment.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and process design.
• Experience managing or working alongside outsourced finance functions or shared service providers.
• Background in a regulated or complex industry is advantageous.
• Comfortable operating in a lean structure, balancing hands‑on delivery with strategic input.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to communicate financial information to non‑finance audiences.
