Financial Controller – Manufacturing (Dublin)

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to join the senior leadership team of a long‑established Irish manufacturing business in Dublin. The role combines commercial insight with operational finance, offering a clear pathway to a Finance Director position as the company grows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high‑quality delivery.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the Board.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow processes.
• Oversee all costing activities and compare actual costs against budgets.
• Handle statutory filings and coordinate the year‑end close with group auditors.
• Provide oversight of the IT function and financial systems.
• Evaluate business proposals and support strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Proven ability to lead a finance team.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
