General Operative – Production (Full‑time)

About the role
We have a great opportunity for a General Operative to join our Kerry team in Carrigaline, Co. Cork, on a full‑time permanent basis. This is a hands‑on role focused mainly on production activities. It would suit someone with previous manufacturing experience who is technically minded, interested in continuous improvement, and willing to be cross‑trained in other departments.
Key responsibilities
- Actively engage in relevant training plans to achieve target outcomes.
- Carry out all operations according to established procedures.
- Comply with all safety and environmental standards.
- Maintain production areas clean and organised.
- Develop working knowledge of plant equipment, pipe runs and services.
- Participate in cross‑training and work flexibly in other departments when required.
- Complete all appropriate documentation neatly and promptly.
- Adopt a proactive approach to meet site, departmental and individual targets.
- Ensure safe and efficient use of forklift trucks.
- Continuously improve day‑to‑day duties.
Required profile
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience, preferably in a fermentation‑related role.
- Forklift truck experience with a valid counterbalance forklift certificate (desirable).
- Good numeracy and clear communication skills in fluent English.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with others.
- Good organisational skills with problem‑solving ability.
- Proactive and motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer literacy, including experience with Word, Excel, Outlook and SAP.
